"When Tanya told me about her idea to spend an hour taking a snapshot of various people’s lives, I wanted to be a part of that project. I am a fan of Tanya’s work, her way of seeing, and I felt that this would be fun for both of us in spite of my lack of comfort in front of a still camera.
Tanya did capture a very precise moment in time in this shoot. It was the morning after a show that I was in closed, a show in which I had hair extensions. My kitchen painting project is on hold indefinitely now, probably until Yatahey goes back to California to spend the winter with his Dad so that he is not exposed to the toxins. But there is also the eternal in this shoot; I will always love my French roast coffee and I’ll probably always be a bit of a workaholic."- Diane
